VMware and Nutanix Administrator

Responsibility :

As a VMware and Nutanix Administrator, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the VMware vSphere and Nutanix infrastructure of our client, as well as contributing to the design and migration strategies for the invrastructures.

Missions :

• Deploy, and maintain VMware vSphere and Nutanix infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and security.
• Manage and optimize virtualized environments on both VMware and Nutanix platforms, including VM provisioning, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patches, updates, and upgrades, to ensure the smooth operation of both platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to VMware and Nutanix infrastructure and virtual machines.
• Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtualized environments on both platforms.
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate VMware and Nutanix infrastructure with existing systems and applications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation of VMware and Nutanix infrastructure configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual errors, using technologies such as:
  • Scripting languages (e.g., Python)
  • Configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  • API integrations (e.g., vSphere API, Nutanix API)
• Monitor and optimize automation scripts and tools to ensure they remain effective and efficient.

Profile :

• At least 5 years of experience as a VMware Administrator, Nutanix Administrator, or similar roles, in management of virtualized environments.
• In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, ESXi, Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, and other relevant VMware and Nutanix products.
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including virtual networking, storage, and resource management on both VMware and Nutanix platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform, for automation tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues in VMware and Nutanix environments.
• You are used to IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
• Certification in VMware VCP or Nutanix NCP.
